(1) 次の文の意味を考えよ。

Hey,anyone hear from phoebe yet?

No,nothing.

I hope she's okay.

Yeah,I know exactly what she's going through.

(2) anyoneの意味を答えよ。

"Anyone" is a pronoun that refers to any person or people at all,

without specifying a particular individual or group.

It is used to ask if there is someone who fits a certain description or to address a general group of people.

For example,

"Does anyone want to go to the movies?"

語源

"anyone" comes from the combination of "any" and "one".

The word "any" comes from the Old English word "ænig",

which means "any, anyone, anything".

The word "one" comes from the Old English word "ān",

which means "one, single, alone".

"anyone"は、"any"と"one"を組み合わせた語です。

"any"の語源は、古英語の"ænig"で、「どんな、だれでも、何でも」という意味があります。

"one"の語源は、古英語の"ān"で、「1つの、単一の、独りの」という意味があります。

(2) hear の意味を答えよ。

The verb "hear" means to perceive or become aware of a sound through the ears. It can also mean to listen to someone or something, or to receive information or news.

"hear" comes from the Old English word "hieran", which means "to hear, listen to".

"Listen" and "hear" are both verbs related to the act of perceiving sound,
but there are some differences between them.

"Listen" implies that the person is paying attention to the sound intentionally,
while "hear" simply means to receive sound through the ears.

For example, you can say "I heard a noise outside,"
but if you say "I was listening to music,"
it implies that you were actively paying attention to the music.

(3) fromの意味を答えよ

"From" is a preposition in English that indicates the point of origin or starting point of an action or object.

It can also be used to indicate the source of something or the cause of an event.

For example:

I am from Japan. (indicates my country of origin)
She received a gift from her friend. (indicates the source of the gift)
The noise is coming from the construction site. (indicates the starting point of the noise)
He suffered from a headache. (indicates the cause of the suffering)

語源

The word "from" comes from the Old English word "fram",

which means "forward, from, away, out of".

"From"の語源は、中期英語の "from" または "fram" から来ており、古英語の "fram"、古ノルド語の "fram", "framr" といった語が起源とされています。これらの語は、「前方に、進んで、近くに」という意味があります。

(4) yetの意味を答えよ。

"Yet" is an adverb that has several meanings, including:

Up to the present or a specified time; so far.

Example: "I haven't finished my work yet."

Even now;

still.
Example: "I can't believe she hasn't arrived yet."

Used in negative constructions to indicate that something has not happened up to the present time.

Example: "I haven't eaten breakfast yet."

In addition;

besides.
Example: "He is talented yet humble."

As a conjunction, "yet" is also used to show contrast or to introduce a new idea.

Example: "He was exhausted, yet he kept going."

答え:

"Hey anyone hear from Phoebe yet?"

「ねえ、誰かフィービーから連絡あった?」

 (フィービーからの連絡がまだないかどうかを尋ねている)

"Yet" in the sentence "Hey anyone hear from Phoebe yet?"

indicates that the speaker is asking if there has been any new information or updates about Phoebe, and they are waiting for a response.

In this context, "yet" means "up to now" or "so far".

It implies that there has been a certain amount of time passed since the speaker last heard about Phoebe and they are curious to know if there is any new information.
